Their professionalism and organisational skills are proven by the exhibitions they have curated since 2006 including Sutton Poyntz 2008/2009 and their collaborative, creative input into countertexts 08 and 09, part of Bridport Literary Prize Festival’

WHAT ALICE FOUND COMPETITION
ONLINE14-02-2011 to 25-02-2011
We are launching a last minute competition to an emerging artist, designer and/or illustrator who can design the typography and some related imagery or logo for our new shop venture in collaboration with The Cherry Closet, a vintage clothing boutique.
We will be opening the shop in mid/late March in Boscombe; an area leading wonderful regeneration initiatives through culture and economic development.
The purpose of South West Artworks input in the shop is to offer emerging contemporary talent of art and design an outlet to exhibit and sell their work on a regular basis.
The shop will be called WHAT ALICE FOUND. A treasure trove of vintage, fashion art & design all under one roof.
The name was inspired by the fantastic writings of Lewis Carroll and his Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. Any associated imagery and design is therefore welcomed.
The winner will receive their design and logo put into print and used on shop front, shop labels as well as all promotional material used for What Alice Found and accredited by name/website. Plus a link direct from the shop website to the artist/illustrators or designers own website.
All entrants should submit their designs to laura@southwest-artwork.co.uk by 5pm Friday 25th February. Winner will be announced on Monday 28th February.
Any designs submitted remain the property of the entree and will not be used by South West Artwork, The Cherry Closet or third parties elsewhere within the competition stages.
Many thanks and look forward to hearing from you!
